Weaving together her background as a writer in the tech industry with her true passion for ancestral plant medicine, Meghan oversees all lab operations at Modern Alchemy and assists with the development of product education material for Modern Alchemy customers. 

 

After struggling with chronic health issues that were unresponsive to traditional treatment methods, Meghan began to look to her ancestral heritage to learn other ways to support her healing journey. 

 

She began her medicinal plant education and training at Ancestral Apothecary in 2017 with Angela Angel, completing Ninunong Gamot, a 9-week course in Filipino Ancestral and Herbal Medicine. From 2018- 2021, she completed 1150 hours of study with The Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine, earning a certificate in their Herbal Immersion Program.  

 

Meghan believes that healing does not come packaged as a one-size-fits-all formula. The food and medicines that were traditionally used by our ancestors to survive and thrive continue to remain valuable allies to support our health today, and gently offset the impact of daily stress, trauma, and illness encountered in modern-day life. 

 

In managing day-to-day operations at Modern Alchemy and educating Modern Alchemy customers, she hopes to contribute to empowering others as they incorporate plant medicine on their path to health and wellness.
